SPAR3D — Stable Point Aware 3D — is Stability AI's open-weight image-to-3D model, and it is startlingly fast: a mesh from a single image in under a second. Its architecture samples a point cloud first and generates the mesh from it, which gives an unusual amount of control over the reconstruction. The weights are downloadable under a permissive licence for commercial and non-commercial use.
What it does well, and where it stops.

SPAR3D follows Stable Fast 3D, which generated an asset from a single image in about half a second and was itself built on TripoSR. The line matters because it shows where the speed came from: this family has always optimised feed-forward reconstruction rather than iterative diffusion, which is why it is fast and also why it is less imaginative than a prompt-driven generator.
