Drop a .glb below and download the geometry as a Wavefront OBJ — the format every modeling and sculpting tool imports. Ideal for taking an AI-generated or downloaded web asset back into Blender, Maya or ZBrush. The conversion runs locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Converted locally · never uploaded · no signup
GLB is built for rendering; OBJ is what DCC tools eat. This converter bridges the two in one click.
Texture coordinates and normals in the GLB carry into the OBJ, so re-texturing or sculpting downstream keeps working.
The scene is parsed and re-exported in browser memory with three.js — no upload, no queue, no account.
Drag the .glb into the tool — it renders a live textured preview so you can confirm it's the right model.
Every mesh in the scene is re-encoded as Wavefront OBJ, locally in your browser.
Open the downloaded .obj in Blender, Maya, ZBrush or any DCC tool and keep working.
GLB is the standard output of AI 3D generators, web viewers and asset marketplaces — but many pipelines still expect OBJ: sculpting apps, older game engines, CNC and rendering tools, and marketplace upload forms. Converting GLB to OBJ extracts the mesh geometry with its UVs so the model slots back into a classic modeling workflow.
OBJ stores geometry only; its materials live in a separate .mtl file and loose texture images. A browser tool can't write a multi-file bundle, so the OBJ you download contains the full geometry, normals and UV coordinates — but not the GLB's PBR materials. Because the UVs survive, you can reapply or bake textures in your DCC tool, or keep the original GLB alongside as the textured reference.

No. The GLB is parsed and the OBJ generated entirely in your browser's memory. Your model never touches a server.
The geometry, normals and UV coordinates convert; the embedded PBR textures do not, because OBJ stores appearance in separate .mtl and image files a browser can't bundle. Keep the GLB for reference or re-texture in your DCC tool.
All of them, with their scene transforms applied, so the OBJ matches what you saw in the preview.
