Text to 3D in seconds with Hunyuan3D.

Hunyuan3D 3.1 Rapid is the fastest engine in Sculpty: a text prompt becomes a 3D mesh in roughly 30 seconds. It skips textures to get there — you get clean clay geometry, ideal for drafts, blockouts and 3D printing. No Tencent account needed; it runs inside Sculpty's studio.

Why this model

Strong where it counts.

The fastest path to a mesh

Around 30 seconds per generation — fast enough to try five prompt variations in the time other engines take for one.

Clean clay geometry

The Rapid variant deliberately trades textures for speed. What you get is pure shape — which is exactly what drafting and printing need.

Print-ready via free conversion

The GLB output converts to STL in one click with Sculpty's free converter — prompt to slicer in under a minute.

Texture it afterwards

Happy with the shape? Send the mesh to Sculpty's AI texturing studio to add materials, instead of re-rolling the whole model.

What is Hunyuan3D 3.1 Rapid?

Hunyuan3D is Tencent's family of 3D generation models, one of the strongest open research lines in text-to-3D. The 3.1 Rapid variant is tuned for latency: it generates the mesh and skips the texturing stage, cutting generation time to roughly 30 seconds. Sculpty runs it as the speed option next to Meshy (balanced) and Rodin Gen-2.5 (premium) — same prompt box, different trade-off.

Why an untextured mesh is often what you want

Textures hide geometry. When you're exploring shapes — drafting a game asset, blocking out a scene, iterating toward a printable part — an untextured clay render shows silhouette and proportion honestly, and it's the fastest thing to generate. 3D printing doesn't use textures at all, so for print workflows Rapid's output is complete as-is: generate, convert GLB to STL with the free converter, slice.

From draft to finished asset

A common Sculpty workflow: iterate on the shape with Hunyuan3D Rapid at 30 seconds a try, and when the geometry is right, either texture that mesh in the AI texturing studio or re-run the winning prompt through Rodin Gen-2.5 for a production-grade textured version. The engines share one studio, so switching is a dropdown, not a new tool.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Why is my model gray?+

By design — the Rapid variant generates geometry only and skips texturing to hit ~30-second speeds. Add materials afterwards in Sculpty's texturing studio, or use Meshy or Rodin when you need textures straight away.

How fast is it really?+

Roughly 30 seconds from prompt to mesh — the fastest engine in Sculpty. Exact time varies a little with load and complexity.

What formats can I download?+

GLB natively, and Sculpty converts it client-side to STL, OBJ, PLY or glTF for free — the STL path makes it a very fast prompt-to-print pipeline.

Do I need a Tencent account?+

No. Sculpty runs the model for you — sign in with Google and generate.

Can it generate from an image?+

Not in Sculpty — Hunyuan3D 3.1 Rapid is wired for text input. For image-to-3D, use Meshy or Rodin Gen-2.5 in the image studio.
