GLB is built for rendering: it carries PBR materials, textures and scene hierarchy. Printers need none of that — they need watertight triangles. Converting GLB to STL extracts the geometry from every mesh in the scene, applies each node's position, rotation and scale, and writes a single STL your slicer understands.
Most AI 3D generators export GLB, and their meshes are usually dense and organic. They generally slice well, but like any generated mesh they can contain thin features or non-manifold spots; if your slicer complains, run its mesh repair.
