3D generator

Hi3D explained.

Hi3D — renamed from Hitem3D in 2026 — is the detail specialist. Built on the Sparc3D and Ultra3D research models, it reconstructs at 1536³ resolution and takes multiple photos of the same object to resolve geometry a single image leaves ambiguous. If your bar is raw surface fidelity from photographs, it is a serious tool.

Hi3D
Pros
  • The highest geometric resolution in this list — 1536³ reconstruction
  • True multi-view reconstruction, not single-image guessing
  • Grounded in published research (Sparc3D, Ultra3D) rather than a black box
  • Well suited to scan-like capture of real objects
Cons
  • No text-to-3D at all — you need photographs
  • Detail is not the same as usable topology; dense meshes still need retopology
  • No render studio, worlds, converters or texturing pipeline
  • Renaming from Hitem3D to Hi3D makes older reviews and tutorials hard to match up

When resolution is the right thing to optimise

Detail matters when the model has to stand in for a real object — replica parts, product visualisation, cultural heritage, anything a viewer will compare against the original. It matters much less when you are inventing something that has never existed, where a prompt beats a photo shoot and a clean 18K quad mesh beats a dense high-resolution one. Hi3D is built for the first job. Sculpty's engines, and Rodin Gen-2.5 in particular, are built for the second.

FAQ

Hi3D, answered.

Is Hi3D the same as Hitem3D?+

Yes — Hitem3D was renamed Hi3D in 2026. It is the same product from Math Magic, built on the Sparc3D and Ultra3D models.

Can Hi3D generate from a text prompt?+

No. It reconstructs from photographs, one or several. For text-to-3D you need a generator such as Meshy, Tripo, Rodin or Hunyuan3D — Sculpty runs all four.
