It is a remarkable demonstration of a genuinely different idea. It is also, critically, a video stream rather than a 3D file — there is no mesh or splat to take away.

The 2026 fork: video worlds against 3D worlds
There are two incompatible answers to "generate me a world". Video world models like Genie 3 render frames on the fly: infinitely flexible, interactive, and impossible to import into a game engine because there is no geometry, only pictures. True 3D world models output editable assets — meshes and Gaussian splats you can load into Unity, Unreal or a web viewer.
